Description
Emerson E&P Software is seeking a specialist in offshore seismic data processing to work in its growing geoscience services group. The qualified candidate will join a group of experienced geophysicists, geologists, petrophysicists and engineers in conducting value-add geoscience and engineering projects for the oil and gas industry in it Houston office.

Responsibilities

  *   Capable of independently executing and completing multi-line 2D and 3D marine seismic processing projects in time or depth
  *   Capable of building velocity models in anisotropic media and in the presence of complex structures such as turbidites and salt
  *   Practical experience with seismic imaging applications and their associated workflows including Kirchhoff migration, Beam Migration, Full Azimuth Migrations, and Reverse Time Migration
  *   Familiarity and practical experience with advanced seismic processing methods including broadband deghosting, surface related multiple attenuation (SRMA), data regularization, azimuthal handling, high resolution tomography, etc.
  *   Experience with Broadband, Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC), Ocean Bottom Nodal (OBN), and Multi-Component (MC) seismic acquisitions
  *   Familiarity with principles of Full Waveform Inversion

Additional Skills

  *   Proficient working independently and in a group environment
  *   Strong communication skills: capable of delivering project presentations and writing professional grade project reports
  *   Experience and track record of meeting project deadlines


Requirements



  *   BS degree in geoscience, math, physics, or related discipline
  *   Minimum 10 years' experience in marine seismic processing with a seismic contractor or oil company.
  *   Prior experience with Echos, GeoDepth, and/or Earth Study 360 a plus
