AIP Seeks Applicants for State Department Fellowship

The American Institute of Physics is seeking qualified scientists to apply for the 2020-2021 AIP State Department Fellowship by Oct. 15.

If you are an individual interested in the intersection of science, policy, and international affairs, AIP encourages you to apply for the AIP State Department Fellowship. The application deadline for the 2020-2021 term is Oct. 15.

This fellowship aims to enhance the S&T capacity of the department by enabling a scientist or engineer to work at its headquarters in Washington, D.C. In turn, fellows will interact with policymakers and gain an understanding of the foreign policy process. Past AIP fellows have worked on topics as varied as nuclear weapons forensics, critical infrastructure protection, export controls, and biotechnology.

The fellowship includes a $77,500 stipend, health insurance reimbursement, relocation funds, and a professional development allotment.
