Faculty Position in Earth System Science 

Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences, University at Albany,

The Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences (DAES)
<https://www.albany.edu/atmos/>  of the University at Albany, State
University of New York <https://www.albany.edu/> , seeks applicants at the
Assistant (tenure track) Professor level, effective Fall 2020. This is a
10-month appointment that allows supplementary summer salary from research
funding. We are seeking to fill one position from candidates with expertise
in the understanding of fundamental processes and dynamics within individual
components of the earth system or the coupling between different components,
such as the ocean, water cycle, land surface, cryosphere or biosphere.
Candidates whose research specialization complements existing research
programs in the department are particularly encouraged to apply.  The
position will remain open until filled; however, priority will be given to
applications received by November 1, 2019.  Applicants must address in their
application their ability to work with and instruct a culturally diverse
population. Degrees must be from a university accredited by the U.S.
Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting
organization.
