Hydrologist

This position is to lead and execute development of a global flood product,
in collaboration with an existing team of world-class scientists. You will
work with data scientists, physical scientists, and software engineers to
implement, interpret, and scale hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
capabilities globally. Model preparation, validation, calibration, and
execution will be primary parts of your contributions to Jupiter’s mission.
Innovations toward cloud deployment and open-source solutions will provide
you the opportunity to think differently about hydrology and hydraulic
modeling.

Hydraulic and Hydrologic Modeler

This position is aimed at a motivated individual who has a science or
engineering background and is interested in the development and technical
deployment of complex modeling frameworks to simulate and predict
hydrologic processes on commercial cloud platforms. As part of a growing
team, you will deploy both  physics- and machine-learning- based algorithms
for numerical simulation/prediction of flood risk resulting from rainfall,
river flow, and coastal storm surge. This position focuses on the
hydrologic and hydraulic modeling skill set required on the team. You will
troubleshoot complex systems, identify and correct weaknesses, incorporate
new algorithms, contribute to process workflows, and assure quality of
output. You will be a critical piece of the team delivering data that forms
the backbone of Jupiter products.
