The Department of Geosciences at Idaho State University (ISU) invites applications for a full-time (11-month), non tenure-track position at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor (depending upon qualifications) to start in Fall 2020. 

We are seeking an individual to teach general and upper division geology courses that meet the curricular needs of the department and university (four courses per academic year), to act as Field Camp Director, to manage Lost River Field Station, and to supervise graduate teaching assistants.

Minimum Qualifications: MS (for Lecturer position) or Doctorate (for Assistant Professor, non tenure-track position) in geology or closely related field, university-level geosciences teaching experience, excellent communication skills, and significant experience in field geology.
 
Preferred Qualifications: Past participation in the teaching of a geology field course, knowledge of and experience with regional geology of the northern Rocky Mountains, management/supervision experience, interest in overseeing a field teaching and research facility, and experience with online marketing and promotion.

ISU Geosciences is a leader for innovative field-oriented geosciences in the Northern Rockies.
