There is a vacancy for a PhD position in the topic of Hydrothermal Organic
Geochemistry at the Department of Earth Science, University of Bergen,
Norway. The position is for a fixed-term period of 3 years, with an
application deadline of 31st December 2019.

The position is financed by the Research Council of Norway’s FRINATEK
project "HyPOD" (2019−2023). The central objective of project HyPOD is to
provide a fundamental framework for understanding diverse organics formed
in hydrothermal fluids from diverse geologic settings, and enhance our
understanding of the sub-seafloor processes that lead to the formation of
molecules relevant for a putative hydrothermal origin of life.
