financed by the Research Council of Norway’s FRINATEK project "HyPOD" 
(2019−2023). The central objective of project HyPOD is to
 provide a fundamental framework for understanding diverse organics 
formed in hydrothermal fluids from diverse geologic settings, and 
enhance our understanding of the sub-seafloor processes that lead to the
 formation of molecules relevant for a putative hydrothermal origin of
