The Ecohydrology and Biogeochemistry lab of Indiana University-Purdue
University Indianapolis (IUPUI) seeks one motivated student interested in
pursuing a MS or PhD (Applied Earth Sciences) degree in the Department of
Earth Sciences. The project is funded by NSF and is on the effects of fog
and dew on plant-soil water interactions in drylands with fieldwork in
Namibia. The position is available from Fall 2020, and will be supported
through research and teaching assistantships that provide a competitive
stipend, tuition remission and health insurance. The student will be
advised by Dr. Lixin Wang (*http://earthsciences.iupui.edu/~lxwang
<http://earthsciences.iupui.edu/~lxwang>*). Applicants must hold a BS
degree in earth sciences, hydrology, soil science, environmental sciences
or related disciplines, and have strong oral and written communication
skills. Stable isotope background is preferred but not required. The
following are example publications related to this project,
