This position conducts field inspections of businesses and industries that generate, treat, and manage hazardous waste, and helps them improve their understanding of hazardous waste regulations in order to achieve voluntary compliance.

This position represents the program as an expert for dangerous waste management strategies for the dry cleaning industry, specifically those that use tetrachloroethylene (PERC) as the primary cleaning solvent. The goal of this position is to gather technical data, provide technical assistance, and ensure regulatory compliance from this industry to ensure PERC waste is managed in accordance with our regulations.  Additionally, this position will serve as Pollution Prevention Representative for Western Washington in areas not covered by local representation and provide technical assistance and support to Pollution Prevention representatives State-wide as they implement Ecology's product replacement voucher program.
