Position: Lecturer: Temporary faculty position with the possibility of renewal for additional semesters.

Starting Date: On-going. Positions will be filled as needed for each academic semester.

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must have an appropriate degree from an accredited university (master's degree for upper division undergraduate courses; doctoral degree, or master's degree and substantial teaching experience for graduate courses). Demonstrated excellence in teaching GIS at a college level. Applicants should have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment, and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.

The successful candidate will be expected to join faculty, staff, students, and administrators in our University's shared commitment to the principles of engagement, service, and the public good.

Preferred Qualifications:
Appropriate master's or doctoral degree.

Duties:
Faculty will teach GEOG 4680 Digital Cartography. The class is held on Thursdays, and has a lecture component from 6:00 pm to 7:40 pm, and a lab from 7:50 to 9:30. The semester is 15 weeks long for scheduled classes, plus a final exam week

Salary: Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
