Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Oceanography is seeking scientific
and technological solutions for basic and emerging questions in the global
ocean, providing a vigorous educational program in ocean sciences for both
undergraduate and graduate students, and caring environmental justice,
social equality, and global governance. The School of Oceanography, as a
rising star from the ocean horizon, is striving for excellence in research,
education and service to our global communities.

The SOO is recruiting faculty at all ranks in ocean science and technology.
Individuals with strong background and skills are preferred. Oversea
applicants are especially welcome to apply.

Qualifications: 

A PhD is required and postdoctoral and/or work experience is not required
but preferred. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated capability
to carry out an independent, externally funded research program, to
supervise graduate students, and to collaborate with others in research and
education.

Fields: Physical, Chemical, Biological and Geological Oceanography, Ocean
Technologies.

Salary, Housing Assistance & Start-up: Based on the qualification and salary
scale of the University and SOO.

Closing date: Open until all positions are filled. Two interviews will be
held each year, in June and November respectively.
