Northwestern University: Ubben Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Paleoclimate Modeler

We seek a post-doctoral research fellow in paleoclimate modeling to join the Ubben Interdisciplinary Program for Climate and Carbon Science and the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences at Northwestern University. Candidates are expected to possess ESM/GCM simulation and analysis skills, as well as experience and/or a desire to compare modeled data to the geological record. Geologic period and topic of study are open, but the Department has particular strength and interest in hyperthermals, ocean acidification, biogeochemical cycles, chemical weathering, and orbitally-driven cyclicity.

Initial funding is for one year, with the potential for renewal to two years. Review of applications will begin on August 15, 2019. Candidates must have a PhD by the start date. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
