The Geological Society of London is seeking an education assistant. This is a full time, permanent position based on London.

Reports to: Head of Education

Location: Burlington House, London

The main focus for the Education Assistant is our work with schools. Key tasks for this role include:

Taking charge at an early stage of delivering education events such as the National Schools Geology Challenge and the Early Careers Award
Being the main point of contact for the Regional Groups on behalf of the Education team
Providing administrative support for the Education Committee
Taking on and completing the Fieldsites online resource for teachers of KS4/5 geography and geology
The Education Assistant will be involved in most areas in which the Education team operates e.g., in planning for/attending external science events (e.g.  Lyme Regis Fossil Festival); contributing to outputs related to the Society's themed years; and responding to education enquiries.
