The Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) helps energy and air quality government officials to apply global best practices for progress in power sector policy. RAP contributes to and provides thought leadership for a network of NGOs and others in China. Can you expand the reach and influence of RAP on public policies and solutions to China’s most pressing energy challenges; manage key relationships within the region to deliver direct assistance to decision-makers; and provide technical assistance, outreach, writing, and speaking on power regulation, energy efficiency, and climate policy to various groups and organizations? If so, we just might be looking for you.

Our ideal China Program Director will demonstrate that they:


  *   Have extensive understanding of Chinese government and NGO involvement in energy networks, power sector decision-making, and energy efficiency.
  *   Can manage staff as well as project and organizational budgets.
  *   Have personal creativity and strategic vision, coupled with an ability to listen to others and learn from their best ideas.
  *   Possess excellent English language communication skills. Proficiency in Chinese language (Mandarin) both in writing and orally is mandatory.
