Graduate student positions (MS or PhD) are available in the fall of 2020 in the Department of Geography and Atmospheric Science at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS (https://geography.drupal.ku.edu/). Enthusiastic students with BS or MS degree in atmospheric science, meteorology, environmental science, or a related field are encouraged to apply. Potential research topics include the variability and transport of dust aerosols, dust-climate interactions (such as radiative forcing induced atmospheric circulation change), regional climate change, vegetation-climate interactions.
The graduate researcher is expected to learn to develop computer code to process and analyze large observational datasets and/or climate model output, present findings at professional conferences, and publish results in peer-reviewed journals.
