Dr. Katherine Nelson, Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Geospatial Sciences < https://www.k-state.edu/geography/> at Kansas State University, is seeking applications for Masters or PhD students with interests in community and/or agricultural resilience and sustainability. Successful graduate applicants will have the opportunity to work on active research projects evaluating the social vulnerability of flood-prone communities and investigating the relationship between land-use patterns and agricultural productivity across landscapes. Prospective students should have a background in geography, engineering, environmental science, or a related field and ideally will have experience with statistics, GIS, or programming (eg.
