The Climate Change, Extremes and Impacts Group in the School of the Environment<https://environment.wsu.edu/> at WSU Vancouver (WSUV) invites applications for post-doctoral researchers interested in studying climate and weather extremes and their impacts on human and natural systems. Current areas of emphasis in the lab include: (1) physical processes affecting high-impact extreme weather events on various spatial and temporal scales, (2) predictability of extreme events, (3) influence of anthropogenic activities (greenhouse gases, aerosols, and land-surface changes) on historical and projected climate change, and (4) impacts of extremes on agriculture and farmer livelihoods in India. Related publications can be found here https://deeptis47.github.io/. The postdoc will have flexibility in designing projects to advance these areas and are particularly encouraged to expand into newer avenues at the intersection of climate change and societal impacts.
