invites applications for post-doctoral researchers interested in studying climate and weather extremes and their impacts on human and natural systems. Current areas of emphasis in the lab include: (1) physical processes affecting high-impact extreme weather
events on various spatial and temporal scales, (2) predictability of extreme events, (3) influence of anthropogenic activities (greenhouse gases, aerosols, and land-surface changes) on historical and projected climate change, and (4) impacts of extremes on
agriculture and farmer livelihoods in India. Related publications can be found here

should have a Ph.D. in meteorology, atmospheric/climate/environmental science, statistics or a relevant field at the time of appointment. Successful candidates will have demonstrated an ability to conduct creative and independent research, and publish peer-reviewed
articles. Experience working with climate data, applying advanced statistical techniques, and an interest in engaging in interdisciplinary research, is desirable. WSU has close research ties with Pacific Northwest National Labs (PNNL) and candidates will be
encouraged to build collaborations with PNNL researchers, if they desire. We are committed to building a diverse research group, and encourage applications from underrepresented groups.
