Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Sedimentary Geology

The Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in the area of sedimentary geology, to begin August 2019. The selected candidate will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including sedimentary geology, and to establish a nationally recognized, externally funded research program. This research should complement existing strengths in the department, which include climate modeling, paleoclimatology, environmental geochemistry, glaciology, hydrogeology, geophysics, economic geology, structural geology, and geoscience education. Research and teaching opportunities exist at the Iowa State University Geology Field Station, located in the Bighorn Basin, Wyoming. A commitment to excellence in research, teaching at all levels, and performance of service duties is essential.
