Thank you for spreading the word.
Ph.D. assistantships in atmospheric chemistry at the University of Montana are available for Fall 2019. We are seeking two new graduate students to join two projects: (i) Biogenic volatile organic compounds in the warming Arctic; (ii) VOC emission and chemistry of western US wildfires. These projects involve intensive field studies of trace organic gas concentrations/fluxes at the Toolik Field Station in Alaska, at Mt. Bachelor Observatory in Oregon, or analyzing the 2018 WE-CAN aircraft data<https://www.eol.ucar.edu/field_projects/we-can>. Students will also have opportunities to learn state-of-the-art atmospheric chemical transport modeling to interpret field data. Applicants should have robust quantitative analysis and communication skills, be highly self-motivated and independent. Experience in chemistry/atmospheric science and data analysis with advanced programming languages would be an asset. More about the atmospheric chemistry program and admission information is available at http://hs.umt.edu/luhu/. Application deadline is December 15, 2018.
