*PhD/MS research position in air quality modeling at NC State*

A graduate research assistant position is available in the Department of
Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State
University starting Fall 2019. The student will have the opportunity to
work on local to global modeling and explore the connections between air
pollution, climate, and environmental policy. Potential projects include
studying the effects of wildland fires on air pollution, assessing the
impacts of climate policies on air quality and health, developing
computational methods for environmental modeling, and evaluating air
pollution mitigation strategies in Latin America. Additional information is

At NC State, students will be part of one of the largest environmental
engineering programs in the U.S. and a vibrant research community. NC State
is also a great place to undertake air pollution research. Students will
have opportunities to interact with many researchers working on air quality
and environmental modeling across different academic departments and
institutions. The Triangle region offers excellent research and
career-related resources for air pollution engineers. In addition, Raleigh
is a great place to live.

Financial support for graduate students covers tuition and salary while
they complete their degrees. Graduate applications should be submitted to
