The National Science Foundation is recruiting for the position of Deputy Assistant Director for the Geoscience Directorate. This permanent SES Career position is open to geoscientists (or those with expertise in a closely related discipline) who have knowledge of the geoscience research community, experience in scientific research support, and the demonstrated ability to lead at high levels with federal and scientific communities. The Deputy Assistant Director, together with the Assistant Director, provides leadership and direction to the GEO directorate, which supports research in atmospheric and geospace sciences, Earth sciences, ocean sciences, and the polar environment.
