Good morning everyone,

I've recently entered into a collaboration with Dr. Francesc Rocadenbosch
of the Universitat Poiltecnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain to study
atmospheric boundary layer radar observations collected during the recent
VORTEX-Southeast project. We seek a Ph.D. or postdoctoral
candidate interested in studying data processing and machine
learning techniques at UPC in Barcelona, to be co-advised by the two of us.

This call is aimed mainly at engineers, but atmospheric science students
with a strong background in signal processing or machine learning will be
considered as well. The candidate will need to apply for a fellowship
through the Spanish banking foundation La Caixa, and relocate to Spain for
at least part of the project. See the attached document and the link below:

If you know of any aspiring Ph.D. candidates or postdoctoral researchers
interested in studying atmospheric remote sensing and data processing in
Barcelona, please pass this announcement along to them. I also invite you
to circulate this posting in your respective departments. Please direct any
questions to me (rtanamachi at purdue.edu) or Dr. Rocadenbosch (
roca at tsc.upc.edu).

Thanks!
