[ES_JOBS_NET] Open position in data assimilation, Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC) at University of Maryland College Park

We are seeking a talented person with expertise in either NWP modelling 
(e.g., WRF, HWRF, GFS, GEOS, IFS), data assimilation (e.g., using GSI), 
microwave remote sensing and radiative transfer modelling, or tropical 
cyclones.

The candidate will be hired by the Earth System Science 
Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC) at University of Maryland College Park 
as either a Postdoc (Ph.D. required) or Faculty Assistant (M.Sc. or 
equivalent required). The office will be located at either the NASA 
Global Modelling and Assimilation Office (Greenbelt, Maryland) or ESSIC 
(College Park, Maryland).

The position is available immediately and initially for two years (the 
continuation in the second year depends on the candidate performance 
review and availability of funds) and the applications are accepted 
until the position is filled.
