ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION
Based in Montclair, California, the Chino Basin Water Conservation District
(CBWCD) is=20
a leader in water conservation practices and education. Given California=
=92s ongoing=20
state water reduction mandates, CBWCD is well-positioned to educate schoo=

children, homeowners, property owners, and landscape professionals in wat=

Created in 1949, Chino Basin Water Conservation District (CBWCD) is a pro=

organization with a dynamic culture focused on water conservation through=
strategic=20
outreach and focused education. We intentionally target and tailor our e=
ducational=20
programs and training resources toward conservation partners who can make=
the=20
greatest impact, not only for short-term conservation goals, but for long=
-term=20
community awareness that influences and changes behavior at the individua=
l level.
In addition to our outreach and education programs, CBWCD is dedicated to=
=20
sustainable water resource development and owns, operates, and maintains =
eight=20
groundwater recharge basins which capture and recharge an average of 8,32=
5 acre-
feet (roughly equal to 2.7 billion gallons) of water annually (based on a=
n 8-year average=20
from 2006-07 through 2013-14), including storm water, nuisance water, rec=
ycled water,=20
and imported water. Five of the basins are located in Montclair, two are=
in Upland, and=20
one is in Ontario.
If you have a passion for our environment, education, and water resources=
=20
management, and see yourself as a highly motivated leader and entrepreneu=
rial thinker,=20
Chino Basin Water Conservation District may be the organization you have =
been=20
seeking.
