A postdoctoral position is available in the School of Chemical and
Biomolecular Engineering and School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at
the Georgia Institute of Technology with Prof. Nga Lee "Sally" Ng. The
research involves investigating the reactive oxygen species (ROS)
generation potential of atmospheric nanoparticles (particulate matter, PM)
via cellular assays. The aerosol samples to be analyzed include ambient
filters collected in the greater Atlanta area as part of the Southeastern
Center for Air Pollution & Epidemiology (SCAPE) study, and samples
collected from laboratory chamber experiments. The successful candidate
will expose various cell types to samples of particulate matter from
filters *in vitro*. The candidate will also have the opportunity to perform
laboratory chamber experiments in the Georgia Tech Environmental Chamber
facility (http://www.coe.gatech.edu/news/air-we-breathe).

Applicants should hold a Ph. D. in Environmental Toxicology, Environmental
Sciences/Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering,
Bioengineering, or a related field. Experience with cell culture is highly
desirable. Knowledge and understanding of molecular and cellular biology
are also preferred.

To apply, please email a cover letter describing your research interests, a
CV, and a list of three references to Prof. Ng (ng at chbe.gatech.edu). Review
of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is
filled.
