Graduate Research Assistantships in Environmental Toxicology?
Agency: Center for Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences, Department of Zoology at Southern Illinois University
Location: Carbondale, IL
Job Description: Seeking two motivated graduate students to join an active environmental toxicology group. Potential research topics include: joint toxicity of multiple stressors; fate and effects of pesticides (including Bt and neonicotinoids) in various systems; development of resistance in non-target species; and sublethal impacts of pesticides on bee health.
Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Zoology, Entomology, Chemistry, Toxicology or related field. Desired qualifications include experience with toxicological bioassays, culturing of aquatic organisms, western blotting, immunoassays and/or analytical equipment (GC/HPLC). Good writing skills required.
Salary: Research assistantships will include a competitive salary, full tuition waiver, health benefits and support for the proposed research.
