The Space Environment and Radio Engineering (SERENE) group at the University of Birmingham (UK) is looking for PhD candidate applicants in a wide range of areas:
Ionospheric modeling for positioning, navigation, and timing: https://www.findaphd.com/phds/project/ionospheric-modelling-for-gnss-precise-point-positioning-pnt-and-space-weather-resilience/?p197506
Thermospheric modeling for satellite drag prediction: https://www.findaphd.com/phds/project/thermosphere-modelling-for-satellite-drag-collision-avoidance-and-space-weather-resilience/?p197505
Ionospheric, Auroral, and Ocean clutter modeling for HF radar: https://www.findaphd.com/phds/project/ionospheric-auroral-and-ocean-clutter-models-for-monostatic-and-bistatic-hf-sensing-systems/?p197504
Successful applicants will join an active and growing group with research focused on ionospheric and thermospheric physics and modeling, data assimilation, HF radar, and space weather operations.
The call will remain open until the positions are filled. For more information about the application process, group, or research area, please feel free to contact Sean Elvidge at s.elvidge at bham.ac.uk or David Themens at d.r.themens at bham.ac.uk
