CEDAR email: Tenure-track Faculty Search at Georgia Tech in Solar-terrestrial Science and Space Weather

The Georgia Institute of Technology is hiring a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of solar-terrestrial science and/or space weather. Areas of interest include but are not limited to the Earth's ionosphere and magnetosphere, space weather forecasting and resilience.

The departmental home of the hired candidate can be any of the following: School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, School of Aerospace Engineering, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Placement will be determined based on best fit.
The Georgia Tech College of Engineering is consistently ranked among the best in the country, and is the #1 producer of PhDs in engineering, and also #1 in degrees awarded to minority, female students, and African American students. The Georgia Tech College of Sciences cultivates curiosity, encourages exploration, and fosters innovation to develop scientific solutions for a better world. The College is led by Dean Susan Lozier, Immediate Past President of the American Geophysical Union. Georgia Tech has recently launched an interdisciplinary research institute<https://space.gatech.edu/>, focused on space research, that has energized the campus ecosystem around space science, technology and policy.

Some candidates will then be invited to submit a full application including a research statement, teaching statement, and a list of references.
