CEDAR email: Hybrid memorial session in honour of Professor Kathryn McWilliams

Dear CEDAR community,
At this year’s Division of Atmospheric and Space Physics meeting at the Canadian Association of Physicists Congress, there will be a hybrid in-person and virtual memorial session dedicated to Professor Kathryn McWilliams, who passed away earlier this year. Kathryn was the Chair of SuperDARN International and the PI/Director of SuperDARN Canada, a pioneering scientist in both the Canadian and International space physics communities.
The memorial session will be held on Thursday, 12 June at 13:30 – 15:00 (part 1) and 16:30 – 18:00 (part 2) Mountain Time. The session is open to all and will include invited speakers from both the Canadian and International space physics communities, reflecting on Kathryns wide-reaching impact on our field. Zoom information is included below.
