A position as PhD Research Fellow in Plasma and Space Physics is available at the Department of Physics, University of Oslo, Norway. The primary focus of our section is to advance our understanding of high latitude electrodynamics, including plasma irregularities, turbulence and space weather effects. The successful candidate will exploit measurements from high-resolution Langmuir probe measurements within the equatorial and polar ionosphere in order to unravel fundamental physical processes in the terrestrial ionosphere. Ionospheric in situ data may be combined with results from numerical models, or measurements made within the plasma chamber available at UiO.
