Who remembers the CEDAR Post newsletter? The CEDAR Post<https://cedarscience.org/cedar-post-newsletter> was a newsletter published about twice a year from 1986-2010 to announce important developments relevant to the CEDAR community in an effort to keep the community informed. It was originally distributed in paper form and later as a pdf. Now we have this community email list that serves much, but perhaps not all, of the same purpose. Some things missing are in-depth articles on field campaigns, instrument deployments, detailed meeting summaries, and NSF and CSSC status updates. Would the community like the CEDAR Post newsletter to provide this sort of information on an annual or bi-annual basis?

On behalf of the CEDAR Science Steering Committee, this announcement serves to advertise a means to contribute content to a new edition of the CEDAR Post newsletter. This newsletter, to be distributed as a pdf, is intended to supplement this community email forum. We invite you to submit content at this online submission portal<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd6AG63MfFUNBfTJ0T4pkPXzwtA0rJPhnPfl3aBXY2NH50T-g/viewform>. Text of up to 7500 characters and up to 5 pdfs or images up to 10 MB each are allowed.

Suggested contribution types (not all-inclusive):

  * Summaries of recent meetings: highlights, key outcomes
  * Ground-based instruments: deployments, status updates, cool science
  * Current and upcoming satellite missions: science, instruments, data
  * Projects, experiments, and campaigns of interest to CEDAR
  * General Science Highlights: data analysis, modeling, theory relevant to CEDAR
  * Updates on ITM data and model resources
  *   Student activities/news/opportunities
  * Recent awards received (including students who have graduated)
  *   Job Openings
  *   CEDAR Retirements and Memorials
