Dear CEDAR Community, Please see below two advocacy opportunities in which you might be interested:
1.
AAU is partnering with the Planetary Society and nine other associations to organize constituent visits to Congress on October 6 to “Save NASA Science<https://www.planetary.org/advocacy/day-of-action>.” According to the Planetary Society, “The advocates headed to Washington will press their elected officials to act quickly on appropriations that fully reject the funding cuts and premature program terminations at NASA that run counter to congressional and public will.” Faculty members or students interested in participating in the day of action can register here<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/a-day-of-action-to-save-nasa-science-registration-1492268066959>. Advocates will meet on October 5 for training and preparation for their congressional visits and then spend October 6 on in-person meetings on the Hill. Additional information about the day of action is available on the Planetary Society website<https://www.planetary.org/>. AAU encourages the CFR to send information about this event to members of their campus communities who may be interested in supporting the NASA science enterprise. For questions, please reach out to Matt Hourihan<mailto:matt.hourihan at aau.edu>.
2.
