Dear CEDAR community,

We cordially invite you to a workshop at the CEDAR 2024 meeting devoted to
some of the major and widely used databases of CEDAR science. This session
will provide tutorials and user feedback time for those community members
at all career levels - from new to experienced - who would like the latest
information on CEDAR associated scientific observation databases and how to
access them, including computer application programming interfaces (APIs).
We will also cover important topics for both the working CEDAR scientist
and present or future data providers, including DOI / citation information
and how to keep up with FAIR data requirements.

Information on the workshop is below. We hope to see you there!

Title: Tutorials and user feedback on some of the major databases of CEDAR
science
Time: Thursday 13 June 2024, 13:30 - 15:30
Location: Eastcoast

Description: Accessing CEDAR data can still be a challenge, and this
session is designed to improve knowledge of the existing sources, and to
seek improvements for the future. In this session, representatives from
some of the larger CEDAR associated scientific observation databases will
be presenting brief tutorials on accessing their databases. The session
will also allow the community to ask questions and provide user feedback.
The conveners will cover CEDAR Madrigal, SuperDARN, GIRO, and SuperMAG, and
other talks will be encouraged. Topics of particular interest to CEDAR
scientists, meeting FAIR data requirements, archiving your data, and
citation of data sets in scientific papers, will also be covered.
