Scientist Program Manager opening at Space Dynamics Laboratory, Albuquerque Office, New Mexico

SDL is seeking applicants for a Scientist Program Manager in a field related to ionospheric physics, ionospheric modeling, radar system design/construction, or radar modeling who can also perform some moderate management duties.  This person will lead a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians in solving our national defense ionospheric capability needs while also being a technical contributor.  The role involves physics-based and assimilative ionospheric modeling, system level radar modeling, ionospheric measurement campaigns, Ionospheric data processing, and ionospheric measurement instrument design, assembly, testing, and fielding. 
The program manager will work as part of a larger team with customers, scientists, engineers, managers, technicians, and support personnel. The position consists of approximately 40% management and leadership responsibilities and 60% technical and experimental responsibilities.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day program needs such as budgets, reporting, and customer interaction. This work location is on Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM.
