The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Utah State
University is seeking applications for multiple tenure track faculty
positions at the assistant professor level in electrical or computer
engineering. Candidates must have expertise in, but not restricted to, one
or more of the following three areas: 1) control systems (autonomous
systems, controls and robotics, or distributed systems), 2) space systems
engineering (small satellites, space weather sensors, spacecraft
instrumentation), or 3) embedded systems (embedded processor systems, FPGA
systems, hardware cybersecurity, security and privacy in cyber-physical
systems, or embedded control systems).



These are academic-year (9 month) funded positions with an anticipated
start date of August 1, 2022.



Successful candidates will be expected to: 1) develop a significant
externally funded research program that includes a strong record of
peer-reviewed publications and graduate student mentorship, 2) effectively
teach undergraduate and graduate courses, 3) actively participate in
assigned department and university duties, and 4) demonstrate leadership in
relevant technical societies.



*Minimum Qualifications: *

   1. Demonstrate a strong background in engineering fundamentals.
   2. Earned doctorate in an appropriate field by the time of appointment.
   3. Expertise in one of the research areas described above.
   4. Ability to teach in the area of expertise.
   5. Ability to conduct and disseminate research in an area within the
   discipline as evidenced by an established publication record.
   6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
