Within SRI International, the Center for Geospace Studies is seeking a Research Engineer to participate in multiple research programs related to ionospheric radio propagation, plasma instabilities, ionospheric scintillations and their disruptions to communication and navigation systems, waves and disturbances in the ionosphere and upper atmosphere, and more.  The Research Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting ionospheric data, in particular those from Global Navigation Satellite System receivers and Incoherent Scatter Radars, contributing to scientific publications and engaging with the community, and collaborating with multidisciplinary staff within the laboratory on a variety of projects.  Applicants should have Ph. D. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Atmospheric Science, or a related discipline with 0-2 years of post-graduate experience, and demonstrated experience with data analysis and problem-solving.
