*Faculty Position at University of Alaska Fairbanks*
The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department and the
Geophysical Institute (GI) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF)
invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or
associate level with specialization in radar, lidar, or small satellite
development applied to Space Physics research. The position consists of a
half-time research appointment through the GI in the Space Physics and
Aeronomy group. The position includes opportunities to work with
instruments at Poker Flat Research Range (PFRR -
https://www.pfrr.alaska.edu/content/welcome-poker-flat ), the
High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP -
https://haarp.gi.alaska.edu/ ) facility, and students in the Space System
Engineering Program (SSEP - http://ssep.alaska.edu/ ).
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate and
graduate teaching and will help strengthen research collaborations between
the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the GI Space Physics
and Aeronomy Group.
Candidates must have a BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and
have completed their PhD at the time of starting the appointment in
Engineering or a closely related field.
