Dear Colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to a special session at the 2021 Fall
AGU Meeting. This meeting will be in-person and virtual in New Orleans.

Deadline for abstract submission is August 4,

SA012. Impacts and Results of the FORMOSAT-7/COSMIC-2 Mission for Space
Weather Operations and Research
<https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm21/prelim.cgi/Session/124425>

FORMOSAT-7/COSMIC-2 (F7/C2) is a joint satellite program between the Taiwan
and the United States governments providing space weather data for
operational and research communities. Each satellite has a mission payload,
a Tri-GNSS Radio occultation System (TGRS) instrument, as well as two
science payloads, an Ion Velocity Meter (IVM) and Radio Frequency Beacon
(RFB). The F7/C2 mission provides unprecedented data coverage at low
latitudes from altitudes ranging from 90 to 550 km and across all local
times. Products support ionospheric forecasting and space weather research
at scales ranging from global ionospheric specification to small scale
ionospheric scintillation/irregularities within the low-latitude Equatorial
Ionospheric Anomaly (EIA) region. Presentations related to use of F7/C2
data products for both operational and scientific applications as well as
comparisons and joint observations with existing satellite missions, such
as NASA ICON, GOLD and ESA SWARM, and assimilation/modeling works in
connection to application of F7/C2 data are also solicited.
