Dear colleagues,
As you might be aware, Daedalus is a lower thermosphere-ionosphere mission that has been proposed to ESA's Earth Observation programme and is a candidate to become ESA's 10th Earth Explorer (EE10). It is currently completing a Phase-0 Science and Requirements Consolidation study, and towards the end of this year will be competing with two more candidate missions for down-selection for a Phase-A feasibility study.
With this email we would like to invite you on behalf of the Daedalus science team to take part in a user survey that we are conducting, aiming to get feedback on how the scientific community would use Daedalus data products. Your support and feedback are extremely valuable, and would help to demonstrate the wider scientific interest and excitement for the mission. The survey can be found at:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XNVCW37
Filling out the survey can be done in about 10-15 minutes or less. Addressing all of the questions is not required to successfully complete the survey. However, if you have ideas related to how Daedalus data would be useful for your research, leaving remarks on those ideas in the survey form will be of great help to us.
A short overview of the goals of the mission is given in the introduction to the survey. The survey should be straightforward to address without too much prior knowledge on Daedalus, but if you would be interested, further information on Daedalus can be found at: www.daedalus.earth<http://www.daedalus.earth>
Finally, please feel free to distribute this survey to any colleagues that you feel might be interested, and apologies to those who receive this message more than once.
With many thanks in advance for your support for Daedalus, on behalf of the Daedalus science team,
Eelco Doornbos
