CEDAR email: CEDAR workshop proposal deadline extended to 21 March

Dear CEDAR community,
we extend the *workshop proposal deadline to next week Saturday 21 March *since
the normal work is interrupted for a lot of our CEDAR members. Please let me
(maute at ucar.edu) know if you have questions.
Please know that the CEDAR Meeting Organizers, the Steering Committee, and
representatives of NSF are all monitoring the situation. We will keep you
informed through the CEDAR mailing list and the workshop website. As of now,
there are no plans to cancel it. The situation will continue to be monitored,

Information about submitting a workshop proposal-------------------------------
Call for Individual CEDAR Workshop Proposals*
The 2020 CEDAR Workshop will take place from 21-27 June, 2020 in
Santa Fe, New Mexico. **Please submit individual CEDAR workshops by March 21**

Note that individual workshops (not Grand Challenge workshops) will be
2 hours in duration and proposals must include the following:
1) Title of the proposed workshop
2) List of potential conveners
3) Description of the proposed workshop geared to the broad CEDAR audience
4) Justification for the proposed workshop
a. Identify the relevant CEDAR Science Challenge that the workshop
addresses and describe:
i. How the associated questions will be addressed,
ii. What resources exist, are planned, and/or are needed,
iii. How progress should be measured.
b. Justification for the workshop - Articulate a challenge and its
significance and fit with 2011 CEDAR Strategic Plan
