[Ionospheric Effects Symposium]

Amid the uncertainty recently introduced by COVID-19 and the strong
likelihood that numerous upcoming meetings and conferences will be
cancelled or rescheduled, we would like to announce the dates for the next
Ionospheric Effects Symposium to be held 27-29 October 2020.
Please mark your calendar accordingly and look for more information
regarding registration and the call for papers soon. If you have immediate
questions or need more information, please contact us at ies at bc.edu.

We are excited and looking forward to seeing many of you in Alexandria this
fall. In the meantime we hope that our community will exercise appropriate
safeguards and weather current public health concerns without serious harm.

P.S.  For the first time in many years, IES will not be held at the Crowne
Plaza Hotel in Alexandria, VA; it was sold in 2019 and is now being
repurposed as waterfront condominiums! Instead, we are pleased to utilize
our new venue at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town Hotel, conveniently located
directly across the street from the DC Metro stop on King Street. We think
everyone will enjoy the fresh look.
