REMINDER ANNOUNCEMENT
Workshop: A Strategic Vision for Incoherent Scatter Radar
Cornell University
March 30 - April 1 2020

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 28, 2020

The purpose of this workshop is to define a vision highlighting what the community sees as the most important objectives for the ISR facilities, and to develop a strategy for pursuing them. The goal of this workshop is to generate a draft program plan to deliver to the NSF Geospace Facilities leadership. The plan will address scientific, technical, management, logistical, and funding aspects of the facilities with time lines of present day, 5-10 years from now, and a "blue sky" vision for the future. To foster productive discussion, attendance will be limited.

A high priority for the organizing committee is to include early career researchers and graduate students in the field and a session of the workshop will be dedicated to workforce training. We highly encourage faculty to invite their graduate students and post docs to participate in the workshop as the long-term future of this field rests on their shoulders.

The first two days of the workshop (Monday and Tuesday) will be dedicated to specific science discussion topics. The third day (Wednesday) will be used to outline the workshop report and plans for completion. The specific workshop agenda will be made available shortly.

The registration site for the workshop and for the meeting banquet to be
held on March 30 is available through the URL:
