This message is for US colleagues.
Dear Colleagues,
Please contact your House Rep. today to support relief funding for science. The deadline for them to sign on is 5 PM today.
Ask your members of Congress to sign onto the bipartisan letter urging relief for science and health researchers.
Representatives Diana DeGette (D-CO) and Fred Upton (R-MI) are seeking signatures from House members on their bipartisan letter<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc-FTU5loYRrY2iS1Oblgkb9FcdNUg97ceys4PkAbo5i7R4qg/viewform> in support of the $26 billion in funding for:
* Cost extensions for research grants and contracts;
* Emergency relief to sustain research personnel and base operating costs at core and user-funded research facilities until research activities return to pre-pandemic levels; and
* Additional fellowships, traineeships, and research assistantships for up to two years.
We urge you to contact your Representatives and ask them to show their support for science by signing today!
The deadline to sign on <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc-FTU5loYRrY2iS1Oblgkb9FcdNUg97ceys4PkAbo5i7R4qg/viewform> is this Thursday, 23 April at 5pm ET. Take a few minutes to contact your legislators<https://www.agu.org/Share-and-Advocate/Share/Policymakers/Contact-elected-officials>, it will make a big difference!
Thanks.
