CEDAR email: 2018 AOGS-Session : IG17-Geo-science Education

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to the Session IG-17:
Geo-science Education, in the Interdisciplinary Geosciences (IG) section,
at the 2018 Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) Meeting in Honolulu,
Hawaii, USA from June 3 - 8, 2018.

This session was initiated back in 2008 at Busan, where AOGS scientists and
educators recognised the importance of education outreach as an important
aspect of the Geo-sciences community in Asia. This session will bring
interested scientists and educators together to discuss about issues
related to geo-science education. Through various platforms, Geo-scientists
and educators took on different approaches in providing outreach to the
wider audience beyond the Scientific community. 2018 will be a meaningful
event as it marks the 10 year anniversary of the Geo-science education
gathering at AOGS.

Therefore, we strongly encourage you to present your ideas and activities
for geoscience education at the 15th AOGS annual meeting. More information
can be found on the website, http://www.asiaoceania.org/aogs2018/.

Please note that abstract submission deadline is Friday January 19, 2018.
