The European Space Agency’s (ESA’s) Fourth Swarm Science Meeting will be held in Banff, Alberta, Canada from 20 to 24 March 2017. The meeting will be part of an international event that will also include ESA’s Geodetic Mission Workshop and the North American CryoSat Science Meeting.

The meeting will address topics ranging from the Earth’s interior to the near-Earth space environment, all aimed at unraveling the origins, behavior and effects of the Earth’s magnetic field and space plasma environment. New science and applications from Swarm data are of very significant interest, including applications in the fields of space weather and space environment modeling. Contributions that use complementary space- and ground-based observations (e.g. AMPERE, ePOP, THEMIS, TREx, AMISR, SuperDARN, ICON, etc.) in correlation studies to address the objectives of the Swarm mission are particularly welcome.

The Swarm data are publicly available. Please visit the Swarm data access webpage for further information: https://earth.esa.int/web/guest/swarm/data-access <https://earth.esa.int/web/guest/swarm/data-access>.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is 4 December 2016. Please visit the Fourth Swarm Science Meeting website for more information: http://www.swarm2017.org/ <http://www.swarm2017.org/>.
