Dear colleagues,
for all those who could not see the partial solar eclipse on January 4th
it can be found as a quick look of ionospheric effects at the SWACI website
_http://swaciweb.dlr.de/index.php?id=285&L=1_

Due to the reduced solar illumination the ionization develops delayed
over Europe indicated by the negative TEC deviation from the
corresponding 27days median. In addition to this reduction the eclipse
caused probably a gravity wave which is clearly indicated by the time
variation of the critical frequency and the equivalent slab thickness
over the Juliusruh ionosonde station.
