Dear CAM/ccm3.6.6 users:

I have a question on the precipitation outputs from CCM3. For each
variable there are 5 types of outputs defined by NINAVG, "A"-averaged
during time period defined by nhtfrq, "I"-instantaneous, "M"-point minimum
during nhtfrq, "X"-point maximum during nhtfrq, "Q"-monthly average.

My question is for total precipitation over a particular time, e.g.,
24hrs, which of the 5 parameters, A, I, X, M, Q shall we choose? Shall we
choose "A" and multipy it by 24hrs? What's the unit of the precipitation
output in CCM3? If choosing "I", does this mean "instantaneous
precipitation in unit of "amount per unit time" at a particular time" or
"total precipitation during nhtfrq ending at a particular time"?
