[cam-users] CCM3/ CAM starter needs advice

Hi all,
 I have been reading the e-mail archive of CCM3/CAM and I see several
messages there about running/problems associated with running the model on
Linux. 
I wanted to know if anyone was succesful in running the same?
Given a choice, which would be better, CCM3 on SUN or  CCM3 on Linux? 
Please let me know as I am looking for some guidance/support  regarding
this.
Any input is deeply appreciated.
