[Wrf-users] activating urban canopy model

Dearmembers,

I amusing WRFV3.8 coupled with Noah Land surface model in multiple processors(NOAH-MP)

 I could not activate sf_urban_physics in mynamelist.input for mesoscale simulation.

Bellowis my setting for physics in my namelist.input

Theabove setting works properly

WhenI have changed    "sf_urban_physics  = 0, 0, 0," tTo    "sf_urban_physics  = 1, 1, 1,"  I got bellow error message: --- NOTE: grid_fdda is 0 for domain      3, setting gfdda interval and ending timeto 0 for that domain.

---NOTE: both grid_sfdda and pxlsm_soil_nudge are 0 for domain      3, setting sgfdda interval and endingtime to 0 for that domain.

---NOTE: obs_nudge_opt is 0 for domain     3, setting obs nudging interval and ending time to 0 for that domain.

---NOTE: bl_pbl_physics /= 4, implies mfshconv must be 0, resetting

NeedMYNN PBL for icloud_bl = 1, resetting to 0

NOTE:       3 namelist settings are wrong. Pleasecheck and reset these options

     When I changed to “sf_urban_physics  = 1, 1,  &0,”      or        “sf_urban_physics  = 1, 1,  &!0,” It works properly
 I was still looking to activatesf_urban_physics   for my 3rd domain

ThenI have changed sf_urban_physics   asbellow:

                        "&sf_urban_physics  or &! sf_urban_physics
                        UCMCALL                             = 1,     1,    1,"

 It works properly .

Ihave deleted “&sf_urban_physics“ I was trying to simulate again and I gotbellow error message:

1)       I would like to understand the meaningof  “&”  in the namelist.input

2)       I would like to learn what I needed todo so that sf_urban_physics   works forthe 3rd domain

3)       I would like to understand whether "sf_urban_physics"  or   "UCMCALL               = 1,     1,    1,"

Whichwas activated in my simulation when I changed to :

"&sf_urban_physics"  or &! sf_urban_physics 

UCMCALL                             = 1,     1,    1,

 I may be grateful if anyone can give me somedetails about my concern
